With a diverse collection of over 45,000 art objects and works of cultural significance, the Spencer Museum of Art is the only comprehensive art museum in the state of Kansas serving over 100,000 customers annually.
The museum is camouflaged by its surroundings on campus due to its lack of brand identity. With a stronger identity representing the museum’s contemporary collection alongside the newly finished renovations, the museum seeks to reestablish its presence as a “portal” for self-discovery. This concept is represented through the logo and type treatment.
